The short version

This website has no analytics and sets no cookies of its own. Derp runs on your computer, inside DaVinci Resolve, and sends no project data anywhere. We don’t keep a database of buyers.

Who is responsible

Tiny Turtle Shell LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: hi@derp.video.

This website

• It is a static site. We run no analytics or advertising scripts, and we set no cookies of our own.
• It is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (such as your IP address and the pages you request). See Vercel’s privacy policy.

Checkout

Direct purchases go through Paddle, the Merchant of Record. Paddle collects your payment and contact details as an independent controller, under its own privacy policy. Paddle’s checkout script runs on our page when you buy, and is governed by that policy.

Licence keys

To issue your key, we receive your order ID, name and email from Paddle once the purchase is confirmed. We put them into your signed licence key, show the key on the page after your purchase, and also email it to you through Resend, our email provider, which processes your email address and the message to deliver it. We don’t store them on our servers. Derp checks the key on your computer.

Email to us

If you write to hi@derp.video, we use your message only to reply, and keep it as long as needed for that.

The Derp script

• Derp runs locally in DaVinci Resolve. Your media, timelines and project never leave your machine because of Derp.
• The XML and log files Derp writes are saved where you choose, on your computer.
• If you bought Derp on aescripts, the licence check may contact aescripts’ licensing servers. That is governed by aescripts’ own privacy policy.

Your rights

You can ask us for access to your personal data, or to have it deleted, at hi@derp.video. For data Paddle holds, contact Paddle.

Children

This site and Derp are not directed at people under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
